On Tuesday April 27th, 2005 at 9:47 PM officers responded to a shooting in the 1900 block of Pennsylvania.  Officers found 43 year old Clifton Cormier suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in his upstairs garage apartment.  He was unable to tell officers who shot him.  Cormier was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Crime Stoppers is again asking for your help in solving the murder of April Brown.

On Monday, October 1^st , 2007, just after 9:00 p.m., Bmt. Fire and Police responded to a structure fire in the 1200 block of Cottonwood.  Once the fire had been suppressed, the body of 36 year old April Brown was discovered inside the apartment.  She had been stabbed to death and her apartment set on fire.

On June 21, 2007 at 11:26 p.m. a man was shot to death at the intersection of Gulf and Delaware. 

While standing at the intersection, 33 year old Jimmy Broussard was attacked by three black males.  They began beating him.  He was able to break free and run as one of the suspects began firing shots at him from a handgun.  Broussard was struck once.  He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

On the morning of October 27, 2004, the body of 72 year old Joseph Rose was found in an open field next to Rose Wrecker Service, on Lindbergh St.  Mr. Rose suffered trauma to the upper body.  At this time, police have no suspects.

 On October 19, 2004 Officers responded to a deceased person in the 11000 block of Patricia. It appeared that 51 Mark Anthony Wion had been beaten to death and then placed into an old abandoned car sitting in the yard of his mothers residence. According to family members, he had last been seen the night before at around 11:30 p.m.  His body was found at 10:45 a.m. by his brother Timothy Wion.  Timothy Wion is a person of interest in this case and has an outstanding Aggravated Robbery warrant issued for his arrest out of Hardin County.  He has since been arrested out of state and taken back to Hardin County for the Hardin County charges.

In the early morning hours of April 16, 2004, Officers were called to the intersection of Forrest at IH10 in reference to a shooting victim.  44 year old Paulette Hudson had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.   She suffered for nearly 3 years before dying from shooting related complications. 

Information received by Detectives indicate that a blue pick-up occupied by a heavy set black male and thin black male may have been  involved.

     On Saturday, January 14, 1995 around 2:00 p.m., 31 year old Catherine Edwards was found murdered in her home.  After missing a family lunch, her parents went to her home to check on her.  They found her body in the bathroom.  The official cause of death was ruled a drowning.
